Summer Camp - High School June 24-28 (Ages 14 - 18)

During this week-long camp, students will participate in structured classes covering the basics of musical theatre, including theatre terminology, choreography, acting, voice and improv. Students will utilize the skills acquired during these seven days to work on scenes and songs from Broadway musicals, and will also have the option to prepare a solo or duet. As always, the final day will end with a “sharing” for family and friends. Throughout this ten-day session, students will learn about the basics of building a character, telling a story and musical theatre performance. Students will participate in a group scene from a Broadway musical as well as create their own unique scenes through the fundamentals of storytelling. Along with group numbers grounded in the basics of movement, vocal technique and acting, students will also have the opportunity to prepare a solo or a duet. During this five-day session, our middle school campers will dive into the exciting world of musical theatre through structured daily classes covering choreography, voice, acting, and improv. Students will spend their days building confidence and honing their skills through voice lessons, training in acting technique and dance basics. Ensemble work is emphasized through participation in a scene and group number from a Broadway musical; students will also have the option to prepare a solo or duet.
